Premise Idea

For Premise, I want to do an environment based project in the theme of a cyberpunk, sc-fi, futuristic world. Using world building, I want to create an entire world from my head inspired by Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is a subgenre of Sci-Fi in a dystopian futuristic setting. It focuses on a combination of low-life and high tech. Featuring futuristic technological achievements such as artificial intelligence and cybernetics, juxtaposed with a societal collapse/decay.

For world building I will look at:

How did the world come to be?

What kind of people inhabit the world?

What kind of buildings are around?

and more.

I want to incorporate my other original idea for premise into this project. By doing this I might do some concept art for a few characters that inhabit this world.

For the characters I will think about:

What are they wearing? (Tech wear? Ripped clothing? etc)

Are they human? (They could be: Half-Human, Half-Android, Human, Human with Robotic body modifications, Aliens, Androids, Samurais etc.

Their Styles (Colourful hair, chips in the side of their heads?, Robot eyes? Tattoos, Colourful skin? eg, blue, pink, green?)

How did the world come to be ideas.

- An Alice in Wonderland type of Rabbit Hole

- A figment of someone's imagination

- A game

- An Underground City (can be linked to rabbit hole)

- A different planet to earth? (Refs. could be things such as Star Wars and its multiple planets)

Other things I'll have to think about are:

Vehicles: Futuristic Cars, Trains, Flying airships etc.

Stores: Clothing stores, Weapon stores, Junk/Pawn shops, Garages, Motels, Bars, Clubs, Adult Only Clubs, Street Food/Stalls, Blacksmith, 24/hour convenience, etc.

I need to figure out along the way where the line is between the Cyberpunk theme and just looking futuristic and modern. The point is to convey a high tech world with Androids, Flying cars, everything electronic, inhabited by people who cant really afford it. Low-lifes, Junkies, Thieves etc. There will obviously be rich people who are usually rude and do things for their own good and no one elses. As well as people who fight, Samurai's, Gangs and famous people.

Featuring Dark Alleys, Lots of neon, signs and lights, lanterns, rubbish left lying around and so much more to go into the environment.
